Humanity is sitting on a time bomb. Scientists the world over are in agreement in saying that we barely have ten years left to avoid a planetary catastrophe.
What does this catastrophe look like? It is a disordered state of the climatic system, including extreme weather disturbances, floods, long periods of dryness and fatal heat waves.
A catastrophe of the width and breadth of this one would annihilate our planet, when it is upon us it will be too late. We still have time, precious little, but enough to turn our system around.
The film “An Inconvenient Truth” illustrates and relays the actions and fight of a man against the system who is creating our inevitable doom. This man is the former Vice President of the United States, Al Gore, who has for more than five years pushed his fellow citizens to heed the urgent need of reacting to this crisis.
